This project involved a collaboration with AIAP to breathe digital life into their extensive archive of record covers. We focused on a golden era of Italian visual culture—the period between 1950 and 1980—to create a comprehensive visualization that tracks the evolution of graphic design through the lens of the music industry.
The AIAP archive contains a wealth of historical data that is often difficult to access or analyze holistically. Our goal was to transition from individual physical artifacts to a cohesive digital system that reveals the connections between legendary Italian designers, musical genres, and shifting aesthetic trends over three decades.
